Denver Airport Conspiracy
The Denver Airport conspiracy theories are, like most conspiracy theories, equal parts entertaining, strange, and thought-provoking. Read on for some odd facts about one of the busiest airports in the United States… Secret Underground Base? Some people flat-out believe that the government has built a secret underground base below the airport. This is apparently to keep it “hidden in plain sight.” Reasons leading to this conclusion?
However, there are several spooky elements that are clearly visible whenver you visit DIA. Add these to the "secret underground base" Denver airport conspiracy, and it sure seems like a weird place.
The Horse – Nicknamed “Bluecifer” by the locals due to its ominious appearance, a sculpture of a giant blue Mustang stands guard at the entrance/exit of the terminal. With blazing red eyes, the horse rears back in a terrifying display that almost feels like a warning to all who enter. Many harken it to one of the four horses of the Apocalypse. Most frightening of all is the true story about how part of this sculpture fell and killed the artist, Luis Jiménez, while he was working on it. The Murals – A collection of eerie murals filled with bizarre symbolism are featured througout the airport. At first glance, they seem like many other brightly colored South American folk art works, but when you look closer, you see images images of dead children in coffins, dead or frozen animals, nuclear explosions, and men in gas masks with swords. Some were eventually painted over due to complaints. Those are some odd images to have in an airport, where many people are already anxious or stressed out. The Capstone – Located at the front of the terminal, right where you get in line for security, you will see a simple dedication capstone. On it is a masonic symbol, and the date March 19, 1994. But underneath that it says “New World Airport Commission.” The problem is that no such entity exists. Or does it? Not in public record it doesn’t. Is it a secret organization? Is this a sign that a New World Order exists, and this is its airport? The Subway Tunnels – A subway train moves travelers from the main terminal to Gates A,B, and C where passengers can board their plane. The ride is a fun one, with catchy music playing whenever the train starts and stops. Little propellers attached to the tunnel walls spin from the wind of the train’s movement. And if you pay attention, you’ll see several tunnels that veer off in other directions. Where are they going? Why are there so many of them? For a train that only goes back and forth all day long, there sure are a lot of other tracks.
Some of the darker Denver airport conspiracy theories include how aerial images show how the runways take on the shape of swastikas. And while pilots have said this is so there are multiple directions for planes to take off and land in difficult high-altitude conditions, some believe that there may be a series of underground buildings beneath the airfield—possible gas chambers for a concentration camp. Other theories speculate that DIA simply has an underground military bunker in case of nuclear war. Whatever the reasons for the extra-ordinary aspects of this particular airport, it’s certainly one of a kind. So what do you think?
