Defense

Several defense corporations in town provide the largest number of jobs in Colorado Springs. These employers include Boeing, Lockheed Martin, General Dynamics, Northrop Grumman, and others.

Many of these jobs are focused on missile technology as well as other variations of aerospace industry.

High-Tech

High-tech manufacturing is another leader of employment in the Springs, even though the city has seen a decrease in recent years.

Education is another place to consider finding jobs in Colorado Springs, as there are several universities in town. These include the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs, Colorado College, Pikes Peak Community College, Colorado Technical University, DeVry University, Regis University, University of the Rockies, and more.

The Gazette is the mainstream daily newspaper, with an extensive job search available on their website, gazette.com. The Independent also has classified ads for jobs, but this paper comes out weekly on Thursdays, or online at csindy.com.

The Pikes Peak Workforce Center is another great asset, as they help “connect vital businesses with work-ready job seekers and employer-driven services." You can find them online at ppwfc.org.

If you need to get online but don't have a computer, try visiting the Pikes Peak Library District. They have computer labs and express PCs that allow you to search jobs, check emails, print listings, and get tips on local businesses.
