My family and I's Experience

America's Mountain was breathtaking, hearing how tall it was from sea level.
We hiked up the mountain and it took us almost the whole day, but we couldn't get to the very top. The weather was very beating and we never reached the top.
The view was great. It could take you up to 3 days to reach the top. We were amazed and stunned about the mountain and it is also a great work-out and vacation for a family.
I recommend you and your family go there. My family enjoyed it and your family shall to. It is a great Experience and fun time so try it out.
EDITOR'S NOTE: Thanks, Jenny Pooh, for sharing your family's experience climbing up Pikes Peak! Being at the summit of the mountain truly is breathtaking, because at 14,110 feet above sea level it's much harder to breathe due to the lack of oxygen. So your breath is literally being taken away!
I finally made the full-day hike to the Pikes Peak summit last summer, and due to the very nice weather—it was sunny and warm and dry--it only took 7 hours.
But I've heard that poor weather can slow down that process dramatically. High winds, snow, and especially lightning, can turn your trip into more than one day, or even turn you back down for another day altogether. As the saying goes, don't mess with Mother Nature!
So I hope you get to make it to the top with your family and see the amazing views at the very top of America's Mountain. Maybe you'll make it back again someday soon?
