So, parents, sit back and enjoy a rest while your brood tear it up. Here is a list of things to do in Colorado Springs with Kids!
PENNY ARCADE AT MANITOU SPRINGS
Okay, we admit, we mentioned the Arcade on our Family page too, but it's worth mentioning again because it's such a cool/fun place, especially for kids. In the little mountain hamlet of Manitou Springs just west of Colorado Springs is this old-school arcade nestled amongst the shops along Manitou Avenue. Pinball, water gun horse-racing, skeeball, kiddee rides, and tons of vintage arcade games are all part of the fun waiting for you. After you run out of quarters, there are plenty of places to eat and funky little shops to browse for souvenirs and trinkets.

NORTH POLE SANTA'S WORKSHOP
Nestled up in the foothills of Cascade is the North Pole, a unique theme park that has a Christmas paradise all year round. Zoom along on the Candy Cane coaster or one of many other rides. Check out a magic show or play games at the arcade. Browse through all the shops in the Alpine Village. You can even visit Santa's House! One of the most popular things to do in Colorado Springs with kids.

IT'Z
Family Food & Fun is their logo. But once you step inside, you know this is for the kids. Bumper cars, bowling alleys, amusement rides, a speedway, a monkey jump, skeeball, basketball, air hockey, Dance Dance Revolution and Extreme Hunting Deluxe make this a haven for over-stimulation! Pizzas, pasta, and salads for dinner. A great place to spend an afternoon or celebrate a birthday.

This Family Fun Center is a total riot. Everything a kid could want in one place. Arcade games, Go Karts, Bowling, Little Big Town for toddlers, Mini Golf, Laser Tag, and the newest addition--Extreme Challenge Gladiator Arena--where you can knock your siblings and friends around or become a human wrecking ball. ARTSPORTS WORLD
ArtSports World touts itsef as "the world's largest trampoline gymnastics center." We can't verify that claim, but what we do know is that there are a whole lotta trampolines in this place. Thirty-two, actually, as well as two tumbling floors and a massive 50x25 in-ground trapeze net pit. Bungee rigs and spotting rigs too. We're guessing your kids could bounce and tumble themselves into a pretty happy state here. Open Gym and party rooms available.

STARSMORE DISCOVERY CENTER
If you're headed to North Cheyenne Canon Park or Seven Falls, make sure to take the kids to Starsmore Discovery Center. During the summer, this visitor's center offers plenty of exhibits and programs having to do with local wildlife, trails, nature and history. Watch for special events too, like their annual Hummingbird Festival in May.

MINI-GOLF
When in doubt, always choose mini-golf! It's cheap, fun, and kids love it. The previously mentioned IT'Z and Mr. Biggs both have mini-golf, but our favorite outdoor course in town is Adventure Miniature Golf, visible right off I-25 by Woodmen. Featuring three 18-hole courses. They have batting cages and concessions, too.
Another recommended course we've heard about is Glow Golf, which apparently has lighted golf balls. Fun!

PARKS
Colorado Springs is blessed with many Beautiful City Parks, any of which would be a great place for kids to run, bike, and generally tear around. Two stand out, though, if you're looking for heat relief in the summer. One is Acacia Park, located right downtown on Tejon & Bijou. Acacia is home to the famous Uncle Wilbur fountain, which young kids absolutely love. And the other is America the Beautiful Park, which has the massive circular Julie Penrose fountain. This fountain occasionally showers down water into the wading pool below. America the Beautiful overlooks Pikes Peak, has a huge expanse of grassy space, and also has a sizable playground. Located at 126 Cimino Drive. (719) 385-5940
