Shuga's

by Hayley
(Colorado Springs )

This is a cool little house-turned-restaurant with a unique vibe. Awesome decor. Far enough south on Tejon that it's more residential than noisy downtown.

I love the brick chicken sandwich, Brazilian coconut shrimp soup, and sweetened mint tea. Super cool drink: Lavender martini.

Nice local hang-out for a summer night with your friends. Very laid back.

Adam's Mountain Cafe

(Longmont)

If you want breakfast in the summer time, you need to be there before 11 AM. We were looking forward to getting some breakfast, and were very disappointed that we could not get it after 11. The iced spiced tea was very good, the turkey burrito I ended up getting was ok, but not spectacular by any means. They seemed a bit slow, but the hostesses were friendly.

The Olive Branch

(Colorado Springs, CO)

This place is great for any meal of the day! It is typically known for its breakfast and lunch but it also has a GREAT dinner menu! It offers slightly healthier options which is awesome to find when going out to eat! It is located right downtown (adjacent to Jack Quinns) and is a great choice any time of day!

Heart of Jerusalem Cafe

by Jonathan
(Longmont)

We ate lunch at the Heart of Jerusalem Cafe in Manitou Springs, and loved it. The food was very good (hummus was delicious) and the "Ultimate Plate" I had was very tasty. Our waitress was super friendly and always had a smile. Food came out quickly, and even though we were full after the meal, we tried the Baklava and it was GREAT. Would go back for another meal for sure.

CARIBBEAN

Jamaican Flavor: Friendly environment, cool relaxing reggae music and the food is spectacular, exotic.

*EDITOR'S NOTE--Jamaican Flavor is the name of the restaurant. Whoever wrote this short review, we'd love to hear more! Sounds delicious. Anyone else visited Jamaican Flavor? It's located on 3016 S Academy Blvd, and rumor is they serve up some mean jerk chicken and plantains! Yum.

A new kid on the block for Jamaican food is SPICE ISLAND GRILL, located downtown at 10 N Sierra Madre Street. Have heard some great reviews about their authentic food. A nice pick if you're looking for a unique menu in Colorado Springs.

The Famous Steakhouse

Located downtown on Tejon St, The Famous has the best rare steak imaginable. Prices are higher but portions are so plentiful that two people can easily share a steak and side. The wine list is enviable and the staff knowledgeable.
