Roman Theater of Amman
Hand in hand with the Amman Citadel – as seen in the first part of our article – , is the Roman Theater, built at the time of the Roman Empire and with all the characteristics of a building of the time. It is, without a doubt, an amazing place, which will fascinate you and will make you wonder how the Romans, or men in general, managed to build such constructions with so few tools.
Then you will understand how great man can be when he sets his mind to it. It is a special place to see in Jordan that will remind us that man has been there since the dawn of time, or at least for a long time. He has been doing great things ever since.
Deir
We continue this journey through the curiosities of Jordan passing now by the Deir, a special monument, gigantic, which was built in hard stone. It is about 45 meters high, but perhaps this does not tell you too much.
If you want to see it properly, if you want to appreciate it in all its monumentality, you just have to look at the photo. Built in the 1st century AD, this big this monastery is still standing today, not in honor of the greatness of any god, but of the incredible skill of men.
Ajlun Castle
We continue with our article on what to see in Jordan, now to tell you about Ajlun Castle, a massive fortress whose construction took place in the late twelfth century. It was built for war and defensive purposes. At the time it played a role of great strategic importance.
It is a very particular castle for its style, as it differs greatly from most of the Arab constructions of the time. Today, far from being an impenetrable fortress, it is one of the most striking tourist sites in Jordan.
Map of Madaba
Located in the Byzantine church of St. George in Madaba, it is the cartographic representation of Jerusalem and the Holy Land that has been preserved to this day. According to experts in the field, the records shown on the map date from somewhere between 542 and 570.
The artist who made this mosaic has remained, throughout history, a complete unknown. Despite the efforts of scholars in the area to unveil the name, they have not succeeded. Undoubtedly, the Madaba Map is one of the most important historical sites in Jordan. Still wondering what to see in Jordan?
Ma’in Hot Springs

Yes, just as you read it, a tasty hot springs with natural pools where you can take a refreshing bath, a place where you can spend a perfect time, as a couple, with the whole family or in quiet solitude: an inexhaustible source of tranquility in the middle of Jordan.
Karak Castle
We will leave you by telling you about another of the important castles in Jordan, the Karak Castle. Its construction began in the middle of the 12th century. Its history was cut short by battles and wars. It belonged to different owners. Today it is considered a historical monument. Undoubtedly, a place you must visit if you go to Jordan.
