How to Plan For an Epic Proposal While Traveling?

Proposal while traveling

I’d say there is no perfect proposal, but that doesn’t mean you cannot make yours unique, memorable and personal.

You don’t need bells, champagne or a fancy setup to get down on your knees. A heartfelt proclamation is more than enough. However, can you expect nailing down the proposal while traveling?

#1. How to Find the Wow Location?

Wow Location

Men have been proposing for centuries. But, some go to great heights to make it more memorable, sometimes by wrapping the proposal with eye-catching photos.

Want to make a proposal that you and your partner will remember when you are both old and gray – choose a location with a wow factor.

  • Select their favorite locations in the world. If you know they can’t resist the City of Lights or the lively greens and the beachy vibe of the Caribbean, you know where to go.
  • Choosing a place that has some personal significance to you or your partner will only amplify the intimacy of your proposal. Where you two first met, where you had your first kiss or where you said, “I love you.”

It’s hard to think about the perfect marriage proposal location. You want it to be unique. You want it to be perfect without overdoing it. And, naturally, you want your partner to say yes (and maybe shed a few tears of joy).

All that being said, we prepared a list of some of the best location ideas.

Keep in mind: The location is only a side dish. The success of the main course will depend on the sincere and unique efforts you bring to the proposal.

1. A romantic cruise:

Don’t forget the iconic Titanic pose in the end. That is if she says yes, of course. You see, standing atop the edge of the deck when she flatly refused you can be pretty dangerous.

2. Walt Disney World:

Grown-ups or not, Disney World, is an awesome romantic pick to get down on your knees. And, to make things even more special for your sweetheart, take a horse-drawn carriage ride while being lost in each other’s eyes or walk hand-in-hand along Disney’s Boardwalk.

3. Live a medieval romance story in old castles:

Found throughout Europe, castles, with their unique architecture, can make a romantic backdrop and make you live a historical romance novel.

4. Lights in the dark:

If spending time under the bright stars your thing, you can’t go wrong with the dazzling colors lighting up the night sky in Finland. There is nothing more romantic than the stunning landscape of the Northern Lights. Just make sure you don’t fumble with your gloves while getting the ring out.

5. While being high in the sky:

Most people think only celebrities and businessmen can afford a private jet. However, with the changing circumstances, it is no longer an exclusive travel reserved only for the rich and powerful. If you’ve been able to save up enough for that luxurious travel, plan your proposal in the plush aircraft, with a glass of champagne in hand and gorgeous views out of the window.

#2. Pack In a Smart Way

Pack ring in a smart way

Jamaica or Venice, pack your ring in a carry-on rather than in your luggage. Conceal it properly so as the surprise is not ruined.

#3. Prepare Your Speech

Speech

While your proposal doesn’t need to be extravagant, that doesn’t mean you should just go with a straight “will you marry me?”

It’s not that I have anything against those simple words, but if you want a heartfelt way to propose, you need to plan what you will say. You don’t want to ruin that special moment by stumbling over your words.

#4. Book a Photographer

Photographer

You might capture this wonderful moment in your memory and heart forever, but your family members and friends might want to revisit this special moment. So, hire a photographer and prepare your setup.

Finally, my last piece of advice to you would be this: whether you are on the top of the Eiffel Tower or on your rooftop, what matters the most is how sincere you can be towards your relationship and how much you really want your beloved in your life.
